@501183 the correlation isnt as exact. And most cases, the market gaps up or gaps down based on sgxnifty so there is less chances to take action on that information.

When markets are closed here in India, Nifty futures trade in Singapore as Sgx Nifty. It takes into account all the news that happens after indian market hours in other global markets. So it's useful as starting point for indian markets the next day
